How to find us

Travel from Budapest Airport to Hotel Mediterran

From the Budapest Airport Ferihegy, basically one can either choose between taking a taxi or public transport.

The taxi company „Főtaxi” is the official partner of the Budapest airport, we advise to take their cars (there are some free-lance drivers also offering their services but it perhaps is better to remain on the safe side). A taxi ride to the city center should typically cost around 6500 HUF (22 EUR) depending on traffic conditions.

For the overview of public transport connections see the attached image below from the homepage of the Budapest Airport.

Briefly, one should take Bus 200E from the airport and get off at the terminus, Kőbánya-Kispest Station. Here one can change to underground No. 3 (Metro3, M3, blue line) to Ferenciek tere station. There, change to bus 8 or 110 or 112 in direction of Buda (ie. the right side of the city from the river Danube). You will cross the Danube by bus and get off at the 5th station called „BAH csomópont”. This travel needs 3 single tickets, each costs 350 Fts or 450 Ft at the bus driver (prepare with accurate amount).

Alternatively, one can buy Bunch of 10 tickets (3000 Ft), Daily ticket (1650 Ft) or weekly ticket  (4950 Ft, it might be useful).
